The best timing for thunderstorm development will be between Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. The greatest coverage looks to be Saturday evening/night. All of Deep South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley are under a Marginal or Isolated Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe thunderstorms on Saturday. While all modes of severe weather is possible, damaging winds, small hail, lightning, along with heavy rainfall will be the primary threats.
