🍂Extreme drought has overspread all of southeast Georgia, northeast and north central FL per the latest drought monitor.
🔥Multiple hard freezes this winter have dried available fuels and are combining with worsening drought conditions to increase the wildfire risk throughout our region.
⛈️ Widespread beneficial rainfall is expected on Thursday and Thursday night, but forecast rainfall amounts will likely not significantly improve ongoing extreme drought conditions.
During a drought,💧conserve water, 🔥practice fire prevention and follow directions from local officials, especially if your county or municipality has been placed under a burn ban or water restrictions.
