Temperatures will remain very warm over much of the region this week, but with less humid conditions. Heat starts to build Thursday, with heat advisories for the San Gabriel Mountains and heat warnings for the Antelope Valley. Heat peaks Friday through Sunday, with widespread heat advisories and warnings throughout much of the area.
Suggested Actions:
Limit outdoor activities to just the early morning hours.
Stay in air conditioned spaces during the afternoon and evening hours.
Check in on loved ones.
Never leave children or pets in unattended vehicles.
Take frequent rest breaks and stay hydrated.
Outdoor workers take rest breaks in the shade.
Provide shade and water for outdoor animals.
