Tropical Depression Nine has formed in the southern Gulf with winds of 35 mph.
TD9 is expected to strengthen and turn northward, approaching the northern Gulf coast as a hurricane.
The majority of impacts are likely to remain east of our forecast area, but breezy winds and heavy rainfall will be possible across parts of south-central Louisiana.
There remains considerable uncertainty in track, timing, and intensity for this system. Continue to monitor updates to the forecast as more details come into focus.
