Severe Weather Potential Wed/Wed Night The Week Ahead
Wednesday Evening/Overnight: Strong Severe Storm Risk. Severe Weather Outlook: Greater chance for a few strong to severe storms will be generally along/north of I-10-12, where there is a threat level 2 out of 5 (Slight Risk). Threat timing: western areas 6PM to midnight, eastern areas midnight thru 6AM Thursday. Timing for now appears to mainly be late Wednesday into Wednesday night, with the threat exiting east around sunrise. We’ll be able to narrow down specifics with timing with greater confidence as we near closer, so check back for more updates. Hazards: Damaging winds in excess of 60 mph or greater possible. Large hail up to 1 inch in diameter. Isolated tornadoes will be possible. Safety: Ensure your Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) is turned ON and will wake you up overnight! Have multiple ways to receive warnings, that will also wake you up! Stay updated to the forecast, especially as we are able to narrow down more specifics
