4AM 3/26 - Wednesday's heat shattered record highs once again. All climate sites exceeded daily records by a wide margin, and Sidney broke the old daily record high by 14 degrees!
These temperatures were easily warmer than any March day prior to 2026, but some sites fell just short of beating the monthly records set last Saturday. Laramie and Scottsbluff tied the monthly record, and Rawlins and Sidney broke their monthly records on Wednesday.
Wednesday's high also tied the *April* monthly record high at both Sidney and Laramie.
Laramie also observed a record warm minimum temperature. The temperature remained above 49 degrees from midnight to midnight on Wednesday, which is by far the warmest daily minimum temperature observed between the months of November and April. A low of 49 degrees is more typical of July or August in Laramie!
