⛈️ Waves of showers and embedded thunderstorms will begin to overspread our area from south to north on Thursday 💧Tropical moisture will remain abundant over our region from Friday through at least next Tuesday, keeping widespread showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for all of southeast GA, northeast and north central FL ⚠️ Widespread rainfall totals from Thursday through next Tuesday of 2-4 inches are currently forecast, with localized totals in excess of 5 inches possible during that time frame. 🚨Although much of this rainfall will be beneficial in nature, heavier downpours falling repeatedly over urban or low-lying, normally flood prone locations could result in localized flooding. Slick roads and briefly torrential downpours may impact travel on area roadways. ⛈️🏕️🚴‍♀️With heavy downpours and potentially thunderstorms in the forecast later this week and throughout the upcoming weekend, make sure you have safe shelter in mind if you have outdoor plans.
