NWS forecast: Sunny, with a high near 77. Northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Snow, moderate to heavy at times, combined with strong and gusty northwest winds will lead to hazardous travel across Central Montana through Wednesday evening. Snowfall rates of between ¼” to ¾” per hour are expected between midnight tonight through early Wednesday afternoon. These snowfall rates combined with northwest wind gusts of between 40 to 50 mph will lead to significant blowing and drifting of the falling and fallen snow, which will lead to low visibility and partial-to-full lane blockages. Travelers should be prepared snow covered roads and limited visibility. Have an emergency kit in your vehicle if you decide to travel.
