Strong west to west-northwest winds, low relative humidity, and well above average temperatures will create widespread near-critical fire weather conditions on Thursday across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Locally critical fire weather conditions possible. Winds will increase to 15-25 mph during the late morning and afternoon, with gusts between 30-40 mph. Minimum relative humidity values between 10-20% are expected as well as temperatures in the upper 60s to mid 70s. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
