Flood Watch in Effect through Monday Morning Isolated To Scattered Flash Flooding This Weekend Heavy Rainfall Threat Through The Weekend Strong to Severe Thunderstorms Possible Saturday Beachcast 5-Day Outlook Today
As our active weather pattern looks to resume over the weekend, strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible on Saturday. The best timing for thunderstorm development will be between Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. The greatest coverage looks to be Saturday evening/night. All of Deep South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley are under a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe thunderstorms on Saturday. While all modes of severe weather are possible, damaging winds, small hail, lightning, along with heavy rainfall will be the primary threats.
